Access throughProfessional Designation
Professional designations are being conferred for career development practitioners. Further designations to allow for articulation are also being consulted.
Currently, professional designations are being conferred for the category of facilitating information to individuals and groups.
A one-year qualification now allows for immediate access into this designation.
This requires fifteen Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points per year to maintain.
But there is a need for a more basic designation to cover only the structured ‘career education’ of groups. This designation would have less stringent requirements, as it only deals with groups using structured interventions.
There is also a need for a more advanced designation that will include ‘career coaching’. SACDA will ensure adequate consultation prior to introducing the next designations.
